Farm & Business Grants

Difficulty: ● EasyApply directly, no match required ● ModerateCompetitive or cost-share needed ● HardCity/county/gov must apply for you Links last checked October 26, 2026 Tags:  Grant money you do not pay back  Loan money you repay  Other free help, tax credits or a mix
New here? Where to start
  1. Pick your tab by farm size or business type. Not sure? Begin with Beginning or Small Farm.
  2. Look at the Easy cards first. Easy means you can apply yourself and no match is needed. Hard means a city, county or other group must apply for you.
  3. Talk to a person before you apply. Your local USDA Service Center gives free help with FSA, NRCS and Rural Development programs: find your Service Center (opens in a new tab) ↗
  4. Check the official page every time. Amounts, dates and whether a round is open change often and we have not confirmed each one by hand. A “Last round closed” tag appears only where we recorded it; no tag does not mean the program is open.
  5. Never pay anyone who promises to “get” you a grant. Official program pages are the links on these cards; most end in .gov.
